It is soft and stretchable, so it lays into a curve without leaving gaps at the corners, and it takes a pair of scissors if you need it to fit something exactly. The three obvious uses are topping the soil in a planter so you never see the compost, running it down the middle of a table, and covering a tray or a shelf in a shop or event display. The maker states it is breathable and permeable: water poured onto it runs straight through, so it can sit over a living plant's soil without being lifted off every time you water.

What size do I get?
Twelve inches wide, and 12, 24 or 47 inches long depending on the size you choose (30 x 30, 30 x 60 or 30 x 120 cm). One mat per order. One note in the interest of being straight with you: the maker's own label for the longest size gives a conflicting inch figure, and we publish the centimeter measurement, because 30 / 60 / 120 is the series the three sizes actually run in. If the exact length matters, ask us through the contact page before you order and we will confirm it.
Can I cut it to fit?
Yes. It is a soft mat rather than a rigid panel, so scissors will take it down to whatever shape you need, and it stretches enough to lay into a curve without gapping at the corners. Cut edges do not fray in the way a woven fabric would.
Can I lay it over a real plant's soil?
That is one of the things it is made for. The maker states the mat is breathable and permeable, so water poured onto it runs straight through to the soil beneath and you do not have to lift it off every time you water. It hides the compost and the edge of the pot, which is most of what makes a houseplant look unfinished.
Can I use it outside, and how do I clean it?
The maker lists it for outdoor as well as indoor use, and states that it is washable and that the color holds in water, so a rinse under a tap or a hose is the whole of the maintenance. Strong sun will still soften the color over a season.

What if it arrives damaged or isn't what I ordered?
We put it right, and you don't send anything back. Tell us within 14 days of delivery through our contact page, with your order number and a couple of photos, and choose between a replacement sent at our cost or a full refund. If the damage is minor and you'd rather keep the piece (a few crumpled leaves, a scuffed pot), we can offer a partial refund instead; that's your choice, never ours. And if the tracking shows your order hasn't arrived within 30 days of dispatch, the same applies: replacement or full refund.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
No. We don't offer change-of-mind returns, and we'd rather say so plainly than bury it. Each piece ships direct from the makers' workshop to your door, and the journey back would cost more than the piece itself. That's why we describe every piece as precisely as the maker lets us, publish the dimensions we have in inches, show the estimated arrival dates before you pay, and answer questions through our contact page before you order. You can cancel for a full refund at any time before dispatch. If you're torn between two options, ask us first and we'll help you choose.
Is there a discount for buying more than one?
Yes, and it applies itself, with no code needed. Mix and match anything in the shop: any two pieces in your cart take 5% off each, three take 10%, and five or more take 15%, whatever the size or design. We place the whole order with the workshop at once, but each piece is boxed on its own, so the boxes can arrive separately, usually within a day or two of each other; we send you every tracking number. For ten or more, ask us for a trade quote through our contact page.
